Tip Tuesday: Anybody lost a wallet?
From Brazil, here's a very creative marketing promotion. Wallets containing advertising were scattered around the city for passersby to pick up. Inside was an ad for a local financial newspaper.

I love this idea. It's tactile, engaging (you know someone will pick it up) and unique. I think this it could be used to great effect by Realtors or one of the real estate sites. Redfin? Trulia? Hey Zillow, why don't you stuff them with your one dollar bills! [via]

That is a pretty slick idea. The CPM for this was probably pretty high before they started getting publicity for the campaign itself.

So - littering the streets is the future of real estate marketing? Committing a minor-league crime is the future of real estate marketing?

I agree, how on earth are you going to reach your target market? The ad will only be seen by the ONE (1) person that picks up the wallet. And then the advertisement is gone! There will be absolutely no recurrent exposure. Unless you put out half a milliion wallets in one city. Strange idee
