We implemented FB Connect on our real estate website for Puerto Rico, and the reviews have been positive overall. I do have to say that we had some issues with site speed, Facebook brought it down a little until our programmers figured a few things out.

Not only is it a good thing for home buyers to seek "recommendation and reassurance" from others (I love that BTW, I hope you don't mind if I steal it!) but it's important for agents/brokers to find a way to build rapport with their clients who have leaped frog past them on to the web. And like it or not, that collaboration needs to start on line, where the buyers live.

I was disappointed when I read FrontDoor had rolled out their Facebook integration in steps. I think HotPads did it right the first time around by integrating Facebook Connect with all of their website's services. Whenever I submit a flyer on vflyer I sometimes wonder about the usefulness of all these different sites like HotPads but today they stood out from the crowd to me.

I look forward to seeing what else comes of online real estate search!
