Trulia continues on its quest for revenue by adding Trulia Pro today - a new ad platform for agents looking to create a quick and easy ad for themselves on Trulia’s search pages.
The package (which runs $39 a month) gives you unlimited “Feature Listings” (meaning participants get their listings floated to the top of the [...]

Advertise Your Listings at Wal Mart

Haven’t we heard this story before? (see Real Estate Search Stores - Coming Soon?)
Walmart has quietly launched a new classifieds portal on their web site Walmart.com (see Walmart Launches Classified Listings).
The service is powered by Oodle and has a dedicated real estate section.

I have to say it felt a little weird searching for houses on [...]

Battle of the (Ad) Network Stars

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63HsxXeNzRk

When Trulia launched its new ad network (see Trulia Launches First Online Real Estate Ad Network) it was an attempt to leverage their network of advertisers while providing a way for third party publishers to showcase their advertising inventory to larger brand advertisers.
It’s a proven business model that works well across the Net, as evidenced [...]

Trulia Launches iPhone Version

Realtor.com has an iPhone version of their site (available at iphone.realtor.com) and now Trulia has joined the party and released an iPhone ready version of their search tools; complete with a tongue-in-cheek video to promote it.

Unlike Realtor.com’s version however, it doesn’t look like Trulia’s site is a custom theme for iPhone’s mobile Safari. (Shameless plug: [...]

The Real Estate Coach spills the beans on a new deal to be announced by Prudential at their upcoming National conference in New Orleans.
Prudential Real Estate is expected to announce they will be sharing their 4 million listings with Trulia.com.
From the Coach:
By now most people know that Prudential Real Estate’s “Exclusive” agreement with Yahoo (Real [...]

Web Publishers Can Now Clone Trulia

In a recent conversation I had with Pete Flint he said something very telling. He said, “When what you have to offer has become commoditized, the only thing to do is to commoditize yourself.”
Trulia, with their latest offering, which they’ve playfully dubbed “Trulia in a Box” and more formally known as the Trulia Publishing Platform, [...]

Real Estate Search Tit for Tat

Zillow launches new improvements to its search tools this week (see Zillow Launches New Smart Search Feature). So does Trulia.
The most obvious change in the new release is that Trulia, unlike Zillow, has shrunk the default size of its map results (see Trulia shrunk the map). They’ve chosen to rely instead on a hierarchal list [...]
