The cardboard sign was a tad much. Nice way to stir up interest is controversy. I wonder if the guy driving up was a friend or an agent that works for him.

I was not sure how to take this video. I really hope that it was a joke. I felt like the sign should say, "Will work for food" or "Help. Homeless. Please donate." As we all know, the market is not good anywhere. Nice try.

What happened to my first comment?? Oh well. Anyway, I think this is just a cheap publicity stunt to drum up business. The driver is obviously in on it: who drives around with a cameraman in the passenger seat looking for realtors on the median? And then, drives off without a single question for the guy, like it happens every day? Well, Mr.Gruenther is getting what he asked for: over 5700 hits on his video(400 since I submitted my first comment) and growing. See ya later, I'm going to get my cardboard sign ready...

Well, if I hadn't seen it I might not have believed it. First I doubted if he was really a Realtor®, but a cursory web search reveals Paul Gruenther to be a top producer with Vanguard GMAC in Neptune Beach. I'm still not convinced that this wasn't staged and the driver and his cameraman are in cahoots with Gruenther to drum up some PR. As of this writing he's got 5300 hits on his YouTube video, so whatever his motivation, it seems to be working. I might have used another venue to get the message across, though. Getting out there with the rest of the "Will work for food" cardboard sign crowd makes him look just a wee bit desperate, IMHO. I guess it's either the ballsiest marketing campaign ever done, or the stupidest. Only his commission checks will tell, I suppose.
