Real Estate Marketing Ideas

From Arizona Business Gazette, real estate agents are apparently testing “new” ideas

Gordon’s seasonal items include calendars, Halloween bags, flags on July Fourth and Valentine’s Day roses with realtors’ names and logos imprinted on petals. “They also send out practical items, such as auto sunshades, tape measures, coffee mugs, first-aid kits, notepads and, of course, pens.” he said.

800-numbers and swag, these are new ideas?

New to the reporters, of course. Old hat to anyone who actually pays attention to the industry. It’s an old reporters trick (coming from one who was a not-so-old reporter once) … “Hello, Source? I need a story. What do you have for me? Flowers with phone numbers? BRILLIANT!”

A few months ago I found a marketing tool that has really helped me make some sales. I think much better than gimmicks hanging on doors. Each listing can have it’s very own website and the cost is so low! Go to http://www.smartstreets.com and see for yourself. You can do the work or you can let them handle all of it. They are even offering a free trial for your first listing with them. I use them now as part of my standard plan and even though the market has been slowing down a lot, I am still making sales. Still keeping my clients happy. Try it, you’ll like it.
