Interesting interview Joel - nice job “outing Zillow as a voyeur”

I thought that the data that Lloyd shared on the accuracy of zesitmates was pretty poor really - only 25% of listings on their site are accurate within 5%.

It was also interesting to note that they are getting data from trulia and yahoo. So much of the data from Trulia and Yahoo is contaminated with expired data or inaccurate data that it will only serve to take the zestimates further away in terms of accuracy.

Great move by them to get data feeds. Hopefully they will adhere to REALTOR standards and require many of the same important rules for data accuracy that are contained in the IDX and RETS standards.

At some point an enterprising lawyer will bring a class action lawsuit against data aggregators for presenting listings as advertising that they know to be inaccurate.

FlatRateRealEstate would be a nice additional door to Zillow.com
