Jump into 3D with Agent Earth

Here’s a fun site to play with over the weekend: Dustin and Greg both point us to Agent Earth. Regular readers of this blog will know I’m a big fan of Google Earth. I love the idea of a property search conducted in a 3D environment.

I like the simplicity of Agent Earth - but in practice, I agree with Greg’s comment that it’s more proof of concept than truely useable right now. I found Google Earth’s interface unwieldy when faced with multiple results and it was a bit cumbersome having to sort through all the listings inside the program itself. Overall, I prefer Propsmart’s implementation, where you can refine your search criteria on their site and then output only the specific results as a Google Earth KML file.

Nevertheless, Agent Earth is an interesting approach and gives us a good peak at what could be the future of real estate searching.
