Five Quick Hits to Keep You Going

Five things that caught my eye today:

  • Google Local Business Center redesigns itself, making it even easier to update your company’s information into its small business database. Why is this important? Google supplements organic search results with entries from this database, often ahead of even the top ranked destinations (see Google Implements Local Search Results).
  • Twist monitors trends in Twitter. Interesting tool that monitors and compares the volume of daily tweets contain search terms (see Do You Twitter?).

Just signed up for Trial on Trackr. Wow that is a great site, I suppose I will get an email when I am found, like on Google Alerts.

I will check out Trackur. Reputation management is more important now than ever. Just got a new book the other day, The Future of Reputation Management: Gossip, rumor, and privacy on the Internet. So far so good. Joel, have you tried Trackur to keep tabs on who is talking about you or FOREM? Or do you use Google alerts?

Thanks for the great links. BuddyPress looks really interesting. For reputation management, one might also check out Filtrbox and Techrigy. Both have some really advanced tools for reputation management.
