Blogging from a Smartphone
I recently picked up a Samsung Blackjack and am grooving on its 3G Internet access. I’m curious though, does anyone know if there’s a Windows Mobile application that’ll let me post to my blog from the road?
I can tether it to my Macbook fairly easy to act as a high speed modem, but I don’t always have my computer with me.
Any ideas?

If you can’t get in by browser, WordPress lets you post by email. Dashboard -> Options -> Writing.

There wasn’t too much out there on this. I would say setting up the email cron is the only way to go…for now. Someone will develop this plugin soon though.

I thought I had small hands, until I tried to type something on my friends Blackjack phone. I wouldn’t want to write a blog post from that thing even if it did have to software capability to allow it.

I looked at Wordpress’ post-by-email function and I’ll probably experiment with that. It look kind of kludgey, relying on cron jobs etc.
What I really want is an application that I can set up on my smartphone, compose a post and hit upload and it will send it to my blog. No hassles.
Greg, does you son want a project?
There’s money to be made there for sure.
Title Rep, you get used it….

This won’t help you, but maybe someone else, Blogger has mobile blogging capability from MMS messaging for a couple years now, including the ability to send pictures that automatically post.
