Bloggers Connect Begins – NY ‘08
We’re here and it’s started. The first thing to make note of is something that Joel will have a hard time talking about without feeling like he’s bragging… So, I’ll do that for him.
Inman News has completely rebranded, and Brad Inman just hinted at a completely redesigned website look and feel too.

I’m really impressed with this new look. Inman was in great need of a fresh feel, and this does that. I’m glad that they didn’t get to cliche with it (no web 2.0 stuff please).
The first session has started with four great real estate bloggers talking about how they come up with new content for their blog. As we all know, after you’ve been blogging for a while you hit that “content wall” where you start stretching for things to talk about.
Dan Green, of Bring the Blog, thinks that the content is only a phone call away. It’s what you would talk about with your clients each day. Kris Berg, of Bloodhound Blog, states that every time she walks out the door she has 40 things to write about.
“I’ll usually get a strong aversion to what I see on the stupid box, the TV, so I tend to write the antithesis of what they were talking about. That’s where I get my ideas.” – Jeff Corbett, The XBroker Blog.
Rudy Bachraty, of Sellsius and Kiosk Realty, gets his best ideas in the shower (it’s relaxing) and through pictures that he takes throughout the day.

Kris Berg co-founded and became widely-known writing The San Diego Home Blog. We are beyond honored to have her writing with us at BloodhoundBlog, but we’re her second home.

Did everyone enjoy the HomePerks fleeces? We gave away about 180 fleeces to attendees at Bloggers Connect. If you didn’t get one, send me an e-mail at kshaikh(at)HomePerks.com. If you did and you loved wearing it in 60-degree NYC weather, hope you enjoy!
