Best. Real Estate Logo. Evah.
I made a trip up the I5 last week to Seattle. It was a chance to finally visit the epicenter of Real Estate 2.0 and meet many of the people I’ve been reading about and writing about over the last year.
A big thanks to the fine folks at Zillow for hosting me and letting me shoot some Inman TV interviews in their offices (as long as I could drag myself away from their fantastic view of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains anyway).
Drew Meyers turned the camera on me too, while I was there, and posted the resulting interview on the Zillow Blog.
Driving home to Portland however and I saw this…

The Realtor That Rocks. Awesome.

I’ve ranted about real estate logos before (see Why Do All Real Estate Logos Suck So Bad?) - but this one was simple yet effective. Plus it spoke to me (might have had something to do with the AC/DC on the stereo at that time).

Rock on Brother.
[Pardon the crummy camera phone pic. I ditched my Blackjack today for a new iPhone today and what can I say, I'm totally loving it - finally, a smartphone that syncs nicely with a Mac and so much fun to use.]

Congrats on the iPhone.
Can you look for something on it
Can you find anywhere under email setup where it supports Exchange Sync?

@Loren - It looks like it does support Exchange, though IMAP needs to be turned on on the server.

This is so great. I’ve had my license for over two years now, and I still feel like the public image of a Realtor falls into one of two catagories:
1. Bleach-blonde 50-something old lady with gaudy jewelry, fake nails, baked-on tan, and a really bad Glamour Shot on her business card.
2. Cigarette-smoking, Cadillac-driving, gold-chain-wearing middle-aged man who still uses a day planner and won’t talk about anything that happened post-1987. Loves to use the phrase: “When I was your age…[fill in the blank]…
I’m really happy to see that this profession is starting to break the mold.
Rock on, indeed.

Speaking of AC/DC, there is a band that I would challenge everyone to see: Hell’s Belles. This is an all female, AC/DC cover band that-if you closed your eyes at a show-you’d think it was the real deal on stage. Simply put…this ladies RIP! Coincidentally, they are playing a couple shows in WA soon. If you love AC/DC, you have to see this band:

It was great to meet you Joel - looking forward to meeting all the other bloggers out there in San Fran at blogger connect at the end of the month.

You people are such utter fools.
I’ll have to check this blog in another 18 months to see if the mood is still nervous-glib, or if it’s a little more stressed.
Deflationary pressure is a b*tch.

I´m a broker and RE-Blogger in Germany.
I´m still confused about the poor ´performance´of real estate companies concerning homepages, branding, logos … compared with other industries.
I don´t think that we have to adopt all web2.0-ish coulors (green, orange, light blue)
but especially in Germany we are to lazy to use modern marketing.

@Joel,
Sorry didn’t see your answer
Thanks for looking but IMAP wasn’t want i wanted. With out true ActiveSync / Direct Push its a no go for me
Plus you hit the nail on the head. The iPhone doesn’t do anything my Window Mobile phone can’t do. It only does the same thing just in a SLICK looking package and UI. I will give them credit
But I won’t get one until i can get it on verizon

Maybe he or she is just a fan of the Longhorns trying to “hook” a new client?

This is just regarding http://www.realestatesticker.com they are a scam and I saw that they posted here. I just wanted to warn you that I place dan order with them last year, was charged, never received the order, sent 35 emails, and the number I have for them is invalid!
