Atlas kicks sand at other map sites

I've got maps on my mind today and stumbled on Atlas, a new site which offers a truly gorgeous web interface. It's responsive and very simple to master (a series of tabs drop down from the top right corner). Searches reveal themselves in a series of overlaid popup windows. If you register, it can display WiFi zones, realtime traffic conditions and even local gas prices ($3.14 near me, yikes!) So, what about real estate listings guys? [via]

Yeah, Atlas is very nice. It sure looks great! Did you see their Atlas Mobile tool?

I’m not a huge fan of the Microsoft framework, but hey, you can’t have everything…

It’s pretty cool….however not up to date. Some of the images are older than a FEW YEARS. I zoomed in to my home and the surrounding neighborhoods, and some of the neighborhoods that have had homes built within the past few years but are not there on the atlas. The roads are in, but no homes there yet. If they can figure out how to update the images with more frequent info it will be a pretty cool thing to use.
