Content is solely the most important thing when it comes to any site or network on the internet. Users and customers will come to your site for the pure purpose of your content. The content provided on all of these such sites should absolutely be credible and interesting or you aren't going to attract any users back to your site.

Content is so important when it comes to any and every website that is marketing yourself. You want your visitors and clients to feel that you are credible and a professional in your business. I work in Boulder, CO and have a facebook, twitter, and personal website. With all of the current capabilities it is ludicrous to not promote yourself through the internet.
