I love my iphone, but I do miss Verizon. AT&T definitely leaves something to be desired, but not to the extent that I would ditch my iphone. The platform is worth the sacrifice.

Thanks everyone for your feedback and comments!

Bruce - I completely agree w/you about the phone service w/Verizon. Rumors are still swirling the Verizon will be an iPhone option in 2010 - I hope so!

newhomelistings - This is something that's been talked about for sometime and I've seen a few beta tested versions but nothing solid enough to promote to the RE community. I will continue to be on the lookout.

Ben - I do like Google Voice as well!

MN - I agree! Can't we just live in a Mac world? ;)

I have had my iphone for about a year and LOVE it. It's helpful for my professional Real Estate business, and it's fun for personal use. The best part about MAC in my opinion is that everything is easy to use, and has the same look and feel to it. Windows and other OS are always changing too much and it's hard to follow everything. I'm much happier to spend my time on my clients and business rather than learning how a new piece of hardware works, or having to fix crashes, etc.

iPhone will still be fine in 2010. The other new phones will cancel each other out and create too much wide competition within the non-iphone community.

if you like ribbit you should try out google voice. Google voice gives you a phone number which you can make calls. It also transcribes voice messages and sends you a text and/or email. All for free!

Im an iphone user and I love my phone. So easy to use and the app selection is astounding. I could see the shift in real estate to change in the future though with newer innovative phones coming to the market. I heard about new phones that will although you to project images anywhere. This would be a great tool for an agent - giving them the opportunity to show a home at anytime. Does anyone know anymore about these phones?

I just purchased an Android and spent a lot of time trying to determine what would work for me. My wife has an iPhone so I was familiar with it and the apps, but the coverage always was spotty for calls. I chose the Droid because I felt that the iPhone had reached its peak and while there is talk of a new OS and phone coming this summer, I couldn't wait. The Droid for me is more about personalization and customization, not about being cool. The app store may not be as robust now, but it should be more developer friendly. The call service from Verizon (which won high marks from Consumer Reports) also was a huge factor in my decision. We'll see. As you stated, the RAZR is still popular, so ultimately it is up to how a user wants to utilize their phone.
