It’s a real struggle trying to keep up with all the different online marketing methods available. New innovations are constantly coming online and it is difficult to ascertain whether the latest thing is actually going to be a help or a hindrance.

Social media is the fastest growing medium for ALL businesses on the planet. With over 500 Million active users on Facebook alone Your coustomers have to be amongst them.
People respond to visual stimulus and its beleived that you have just 3 seconds to grab the attention of a prospective client/customer. So if you still have your Business page looking like all your competitors, then you could be loosing out.

I’ve heard that facebook has been up to 1/3 less in terms of cost per lead in comparison for Google. We haven’t tested this yet, but it’s nice to be able to specifically market to a niche based on certain criteria (male, female, age, etc…)

Thanks for your tips. Facebook is indeed a powerful place to promote our business. We’ve tried to build up a business page.

Being in the Mobile space allow buyers to search for properties on the move besides just websites. Real estate advisors can post their properties easily and Facebook is also on mobile.

ProxiHomes is also found oniPhone App Store and we are allowing people to share on facebook. It will allow the real estate marketers to really expand their exposure to the public. This is the new platform to watchout how consumers search behaviour can be expanded.

Thanks for the great article. I have been resisting the pressure to build a facebook page, but I believe that Facebook has reached the point of critical mass and that to resist any further would be stupid. I only recently discovered that you could put your business on facebook; I thought that it was for social networking among individuals. I will certainly put my business in the Real Estate category. I guess I will not be able to rely on my website http://www.brianporter.com exclusively anymore.
