Interesting to look back. Today things have changed. According to recent NAR statistics, 38% of buyers start on the Internet, and another 12% start by driving past a yard sign. Fifty percent of home sales begin before the Realtor becomes actively involved. The days when "the listing sheet and walk thru is all a serious buyer needs to decide if they want the house" are seriously over.

Well as web site developer and in the real estate business myself I would have to say that it all depends. Many people use grey hat techniques and what google calls incestuous web sites to promote the mothership. So is this one technique that works? Of course its better to have the one site which works great but the SEO for one site with a broad range of topics is very difficult, much easier to nitch out your site I believe. Well you can see how some of our sites are doing at http://aimiyo.com

There are many less expensive options than Power Sites, I have been working on a simpler version that is only $5 per month, even less if you have several sites. For the right price, they're a useful real estate tool.
