Just what I was looking for. Thanks for this clear analysis. I suppose because my blog is on wordpress, I'd have to relocate first before I can embakrd on the blogvertising endeavor. It also looks like one of the first things prior that would be to try to expand a significant net presence.

I always get confused when thay ask for the website. Does it mean the URL or the Name of the Blog? Anyway, my main thought is that this is a very useful website. I learned a lot. However, I still have some questions. My 3 month "probation" period was up as of today. (the 17th). I was told that after 3 months, my blog is considered active and I am eligible for page ranking and advertising. I was told the other day that just because my Blog is 3 months old, doesn't mean that Googles timetable is the same as mine. How do I know when they will rank my blog? I thought I saw where they did today, but when I went back to look, I couldn't find it. Besides, what I did see was just a one anyway. My blog is a Christian Blog with a Devotional, scriptures, and sometimes an inspirational story. How would you suggest I get my page ranking up, if indeed it was a one? As I said, I thought I saw it on one site, but I got off, and went back to look a little while later, and couldn't find it. I tried several page rankers, and they all said Zero.

Thank you for your advice,

Patti (PJ)

Good read! After hours of research and thought, I decided to start a blog a couple of days ago. It provides information, advice, and tips for independent trainers, consultants, and professionals.

From the start I have added ads on my site so my readers know what to expect, and so I won't have to change my design later for ad placement.

I'll monitor my traffic for a few months to see if I need to make any changes.

Hey Mark,

I used the word blogvertise when I wrote this post as a way to talk about adding advertising to your blog.

Since the whole Pay per Post controversy erupted, the term has taken on a very different meaning however. I certainly do not condone the idea of writing paid posts and would never do so on this blog.
