Friday Fun: Business Cards to Remember

Some great tips from Valleywag today on ‘How to make business cards that people keep.‘
I really like the approach Matt Mullenweg takes:
The Wordpress blog platform creator’s business card simply reads, “1. Go to Google. 2. Type ‘Matt.’ 3. Click ‘I feel lucky.’”
Not all of us would be quite so lucky as to rely on soley [...]

Borrell Associates released a new report today detailing its forecast for online real estate advertising.
We expect that this tipping point will help propel Internet real estate advertising to a $2 billion level this year and push it past $3 billion by 2010, surpassing newspapers in terms of advertising market share.
Whether those dollars go to the [...]

Try the Real Estate 2.0 Swicki

Wikis are web sites that allow users to add, edit and delete content at will. They are incredibly potent tools for collaborative writing and for tapping into the collective wisdom of the crowd, Wikipedia being the best example of how well a wiki can work.

They promise to allow you to connect with and review agents currently selling properties in your market (unfortunately, they don’t seem to be [...]

Predict your Advertising Demographics

Microsoft has taken the wraps off an interesting Beta tool that allows you to see marketing demographic information for your site. From the info on their adCenter Labs demonstration I was able to discern the following:
Seems like my readers are mostly male.

Real estate shoppers are mostly female.

Guys seem to be hooked on "data porn".

Doorhangers are so old school…

I love this advertising idea from Papa John's in Peru – a great new twist on an old direct mail tactic.
Knock, knock…

I think this promotion could be well used by an enterprising realtor or by one of the newer web-based brokers looking to establish brand awareness in a new market. (Redfin? ZipRealty?)
Created by Saatchi & [...]
